YourHomeCosts does not require an account. Calculator entries and statement figures you type are used to answer the request in front of you. We do not run a user database of loans, documents, or saved scenarios.
Statement files
Document upload is not offered. The payment explainer uses numbers you type. It does not accept a statement file.
Analyzer inputs are the payment, escrow, tax, insurance, shortage, and related amounts you enter on the payment analyzer, and the breakdown calculated from them. AI explanations are off, so analyzer inputs are not sent to an AI provider. When AI explanations are on, analyzer inputs are sent to Vercel AI Gateway, which routes the request to the model provider named in the site configuration or to a cloud provider that hosts that model only to write the plain-English explanation, and we ask the gateway not to retain it, but we cannot guarantee how long the gateway or provider keeps it.
Property-tax appeal checker
The appeal checker collects the assessed value, your estimate of market value, the property address, the county or city, and comparable sales (address, price, date, and any note you add). If you type them, it also collects an owner name and a parcel number. We do not store those entries.
Letter polishing is off, so the appeal entries are not sent to an AI provider. When it is on, the property address, the county, and the comparable sales are sent to Vercel AI Gateway, which routes the request to the model provider named in the site configuration or to a cloud provider that hosts that model only to rewrite the draft, and we ask the gateway not to retain it, but we cannot guarantee how long the gateway or provider keeps it. The owner name and the parcel number are not sent to the model.
Newsletter and waitlist forms accept an email address only when you submit one and an email list is connected. If no list is connected, those pages do not show an email field and the signup request is refused. When a list is connected, the address is forwarded there with the operator name, the mailing address on this page, and an unsubscribe link to /unsubscribe. Feedback forms accept an email only when you submit one. We do not sell email addresses.
The unsubscribe form records a removal only when an email list is connected. If no list is connected, it returns an error and nothing is removed.
Cookies
Vercel Analytics does not use cookies. Google Analytics is not enabled in this environment, so it does not set cookies. If Google Analytics is enabled, you can refuse those cookies in your browser, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Analytics and errors
The site uses Vercel Analytics. There is no default advertising pixel. Error reports may include the page path and a short error message, with email addresses stripped, and are forwarded only when an error webhook is configured.
Children’s privacy
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top is the effective date of the version then posted. The updated policy applies from that date.
Requests
To ask about an address that was forwarded to a connected list, email hello@yourhomecosts.com. We will pass a deletion request to that provider when we have one configured. We cannot delete a document we did not keep.
